Job description
Who we are
We Are Family London is an award winning, woman-owned creative experiential events agency that designs and delivers global events connecting hearts and minds.
We’re a kind, curious and collaborative team who love what we do and work without ego. Inclusive and innovative, we’re committed to creativity, quality and care; for our clients, audiences and each other.
Partnering with some of the world’s leading brands, we create experiences that inspire people and bring them closer together, with passion, precision and purpose at our core.
The Role
We’re looking for an experienced Pitch & Event Strategy Lead to cover maternity leave and lead the frontend creative response to pitches, briefs, and new business opportunities. You’ll take ideas from client briefing through concept development, strategy, and feasibility, ensuring every response is bold, intelligent, and achievable.
Equal parts strategic thinker and hands-on doer, you’ll shape the creative direction, build budgets and timelines, and collaborate across teams to turn ambitious ideas into beautifully crafted, commercially sound experiences. Fast, confident, and detail-driven, you’ll cost ideas up quickly and accurately, balancing creativity with commercial clarity to make sure every concept works on paper and in practice.
Accountabilities
● Lead WAF’s response to new client pitches, RFPs and new briefs, delivering ideas that are creatively exciting and operationally feasible, acting as the client’s POC
● Lead creative crunch sessions where required for pitch work to generate and refine ideas, as well as spark creativity across the wider agency
● Create, set up, and own the pitch deck. Leading on layout and narrative, doing much of the hands-on work yourself to ensure quality and creative integrity
● Ensure that all proposals presented can be delivered to the client’s budget, with required Waf. margin, having had budget agreement from relevant internal stakeholders
● Present the pitch to clients confidently, ensuring all creative and strategic points are communicated clearly
● Conduct a thorough handover of any winning pitched projects to the operational team set to deliver it, answering all questions as required
● Create appropriate credential decks for prospective new clients; writing engaging correspondence to accompany; and chase response following dispatch.
● Being a recognised expert in Procim

Pitch/New Brief Responses
● Receive and interrogate new client briefs, asking the right questions to understand objectives, challenges, and opportunities
● Work with the Executive Creative Director (ECD) to develop the creative and strategic approach, aligning on the story, tone, and direction before any further work on the pitch
● Meet with Heads of Department to share the brief, gather insights, and allocate the right internal and external resources (if required)
● Manage internal pitch timelines and workflows, coordinating tasks, deadlines and deliverables across departments to keep the process running smoothly
● Quickly build an initial skeleton budget from scratch, drawing on your strong knowledge of costings and supplier rates to scope what’s possible for the brief
● Speak directly with suppliers to gather quotes, negotiate costs, and sense-check pricing. Knowing where to go for everything from furniture and set builds to entertainment and catering
● Build an initial project timeline to include in the pitch, outlining key milestones, deliverables and phases of work from concept through to delivery
● Communicate key dates and milestones clearly to both internal teams and, where relevant, clients, ensuring alignment at every stage
● Brief the team (if available) on areas that need to be researched, options explored, and new ideas developed, ensuring a proactive and informed creative response
● Develop and refine budgets as ideas evolve, ensuring they remain accurate, achievable, and commercially sound
● Ensure ideas are both creative and feasible, costing them up and solving challenges to maintain high quality and accuracy
● Review and refine all deck content, including copy, visuals, structure and flow, to ensure it clearly answers the client brief, while maintaining clarity, consistency and polish
● Pull together any additional tender documentation, liaising with other members of the team (e.g. CFO) as necessary
● Run internal reviews with the ECD and CEO before submission to align on the final creative response and costings, allowing time for amends before pitch
● Review each pitch process and outcome with the team, capturing learnings and identifying efficiencies for future responses
