Job description
The Role:
Commercial Sales Manager
🏊🚴🏃Who We Are:
The Professional Triathletes Organisation (PTO) is not your typical sports organisation. We're a global start-up, co-owned by professional athletes themselves, on a mission to celebrate and elevate the sport of triathlon like never before.
In just four years, we’ve disrupted the entire sport - launching the T100 Triathlon World Tour in 2024, bringing the world’s top-ranked athletes to iconic cities including Miami, Singapore, San Francisco, London, Ibiza, Las Vegas, and Dubai, where we crowned our first-ever World Champions. We’ve expanded beyond the Professional Tour to bring T100 mass participation races to people all over the world who can now experience the same incredible atmosphere, same iconic locations on the same stage as the pros. And in 2026? We’re going even bigger.
This is a rare opportunity to join a high performing, high-energy, values-driven team with leadership talent from the likes of UFC, RFU, Uber, Meta, ATP, Sail GP, and F1 - all passionate about building something extraordinary from the ground up.
At the PTO, we’re passionate about triathlon, serious about quality, and obsessed with innovation. We don’t just talk - we get sh!t done. We move fast, collaborate as a small team, and challenge the status quo at every turn. It’s what gives us our EDGE - our core values framework that drives how we work, how we win, and how we show up every day.
The Role
As the Professional Triathletes Organisation (PTO) scales its commercial division, we are seeking a Sales Manager to drive revenue growth for the newly launched Triathlon World Tour. This role is the engine of our commercial team, responsible for identifying, pitching, and closing high-value global partnerships that will redefine the sport.
You will sit in the bullseye of revenue generation for the organisation, managing the full sales lifecycle while navigating a complex ecosystem of stakeholders and agency partners. Your primary focus will be:
● Revenue Generation: Driving new global partnership sales from initial prospect outreach to deal closure - leading and supporting the Chief Commercial Officer on driving non-endemic brands into the new PTO ecosystem
● Agency Collaboration: Supporting agency partners through opportunity identification and high-stakes pitch delivery. This role will ensure we maximise sales regionally with our agency partners but protect the global value of our partnerships.
● Strategic Storytelling: Translating the PTO’s vision into compelling commercial narratives that resonate with global brands. You will be a storyteller at heart that can articulate the vision of the future and back this up with unique ideas, data and insights.
The ideal candidate is a commercially astute "hunter" with a proven track record in sports, mass participation, or entertainment sponsorship. You should bring:
● Never Give Up Attitude: A passion for closing the right type of partnerships that helps drive the bottom line as well as put the PTO on the map. Triathlon is a growing sport and education will be key alongside driving momentum with each and every partnership. CRM and client management will be integral to success.
● Commercial Instinct: A deep understanding of analytical tools and frameworks to provide data-driven sales to prospects. Must have the ability to think laterally and not sell packages but sell solutions - You will have the freedom to sell new and innovative solutions rather than set “packages”.
● Influence & Network: An extensive industry network and the ability to negotiate with C-suite decision-makers.
● Collaborative Mindset: The agility to work within a fast-moving, ambitious team and the creativity to bring industry-defining ideas to life. We have a one team mentality where everyone in the business is in sales and so bringing your colleagues on the journey and coordinating the in-house expertise to close partnerships will be integral.
